On my third try (Mary's first), we were treated to an audience by the famous Screech Owl of Rancho San Antonio. The bird stayed around for about 35 minutes this morning, yawning occasionally, looking around a bit, and mostly sleeping. We had several fun opportunities to show the bird to passersby, and the photography was pretty good, given that the bird was in full shade.
