Peregrine Falcon
John Walker spotted it with a small pair of 10X24 Nikons. He tireless scanned the rock and reported "a bird that's not a gull." Great spotting.
Barn Owl
most of the way up morro rock in a narrow crevice. We saw it and thought it might be a peregrine, but when it showed its face, we recognized it immediately

In a palm tree; spotted during the garden tour at Hearst Castle
